Leila Hurst is breaking boundaries in local women’s surfing. Growing up in Kauai, Leila has surfed most of her life. With three NSSA championships under her belt and back to back national titles Kauai will have bred yet another noted female surfer. Leila was crowned 2009 rookie of the year at the Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore of Oahu. Surfing magazine also featured her as the NSSA standout of the week. Surfing Magazine recognizes surfers before they are recognizable. “ We are honored to have Leila on the Team, she brings a unique young ladies perspective and serves as an ambassador of our product here and nationally.” CEO Shaun Roberts. Leila will be competing abroad and traveling to California this summer to compete.

Mediterranean Sea-by paragliding. This event is tracked by advanced technology and broadcast worldwide to an audience of millions. Kalani Vierra, world tandem surfing champion 2007-2009, named Quiksilver Eddie Aikau waterman of the year. Kalani is also the head of Kauai’s ocean safety bureau and a
water safety educator.
