A
loha Surfriders!
Just wanted to drop a quick note from a former local girl who now gets wet in a full wetsuit/ hoodie/booties and gloves! Oregon is a bit colder (45 degrees for water temp lately), but even the temperature, great whites and distance can't cool the fire in my heart that I feel for Hawai'i.
Reading your articles online keep me in touch
with everything going on in my real hometown, and I just wanted to extend a "mahalo" to you all at WSSM. You do incredible work for a wonderful group of women who just want to share the stoke and fulfillment the lifestyle of surfing can bring.

I now drive 1 1/2 hours to the nearest surf spot, and brave very cold waters in a male-dominated lineup, but once I'm in the water I could be back at Threes, searching the horizon for the next wave. The stoke is beautiful, no matter where you are, and your magazine not only conveys this but encourages everyday women and girls to enjoy the sport. Mahalo nui loa and I'll see
you in the lineup.

VOICE OF THE SURFERS

Sandra,
Aloha! Love WSSM! I first became interested in your magazine last Dec. when I read your article on the true meaning of Christmas. I then knew you were a Christian. My wife Stephanie and I are also and were very happy to find that your mag was not ashamed to witness the truth of our Lord Jesus.
Since then, we keep your magazine on a table for all to read at our store, Maui Bead Shack in the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center mall in Kahului, Maui.
I love reading your magazine. My wife Stephanie is a pretty good surfer too. She surfs with me on the Westside and at Ho'okipa and you know how challenging that can be. Maybe we can put an article
in your mag.

There is much more about our store too, such as our missions work in Nicaragua (20 schools and 2500 keikis) and with local artist promotions from Maui.
We know Melissa Simmons and Monica Knight from your last mag very well.We all go to the same church, Hope Chapel. Please call me so we can get together.
Would love to meet you.
Take care, keep surfing and God bless you,
Eddie and Stephanie Kim

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR MINISTRY IN NICARAGUA! WE'LL DEFINITELY HAVE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THAT IN A FUTURE ISSUE. KEEP IN TOUCH AND MAHALO FOR YOUR KIND WORDS!
