Hi Sandra and Dan,

It was a pleasure to meet you two at
Diamond Head in the parking lot. I hope you remember me. My wife and I have recently opened a new surf instruction company catering to children/adolescents with special needs in Los Angeles called R&R therapy and Surf Instruction. I just wanted you to know that we love your magazine and use it all the time.

Its a perfect compact size resource companion! Its small enough that we keep an issue in all of our cars.
WSSM, Its the first thing our passengers always pick up and read when we travel! It’s so vibrant, interesting, useful and entertaining!

I constantly utilize the resources of all the surfshops and phone numbers. In fact, I just used it to find different surfshops I needed to buy, sell and repair several boards for just a few weeks ago.

We actually prefer to read your mag over the other surf magazines because its content applies to our lifestyle and needs, instead of a bunch of guys in competitions and hard to reach surf destinations that mostly Pros have access to.

More guys should start reading this magazine world wide. It has all the things that ”WE guys” like; cute girls surfing, girls in bikinis, women with strength and beauty, a surf shop directory, surfing tips, tide charts and good ideas when shopping for gifts for the ladies.

Again, it was a pleasure to meet you Dan and Sandra, and I hope to be talking to you soon!

Mahalo,

VOICE OF THE SURFERS

Aloha Sandra,
Have you ever noticed that we have at least a week of extreme high tide’s & extreme low tides during the full moon? Should you know your surf spot well enough to predict when it will be perfect wave’s. Does your surf spot respond well to a low tide? Are the wave’s clean then or does it serve you no purpose?

What happen’s when the tide is changing & you’re out there on the wave’s & it is going from a low to a high tide? Do you pay enough attention to notice that sometime’s you will see 2 waves chasing one another? What is up with that?

That is a fast changing tide & then all of sudden you’re waiting a lot longer for a set to come through. Then you’re working on your tan & the conversation with your fellow surfer.

You may want to take a look around the surf spot & find out where is it breaking better which may not be that far from you. All I want you to really learn is when your favorite surf spot get’s you going & saying Yahoo!!! LOL.

Aloha Sandra,
I’ve seen your mag for a while and always check it out when I see it at Safeway or Local Motion. I write & do photos for surf mags too & know that you guys must be putting in a lot of work to get the mag out & especially to be able to distribute it free of cost to the readers. Anyway, great job! I haven’t seen it for a while, but always look forward to it.

Best, Hillary Cramer
